Rosebowl 2009/10 Round 1
Windsor's 2009/10 CACC Rosebowl season got under way on Monday the 9th November. The Rosebowl is a regional inter club competition organised by the Chiltern Association of Camera Clubs that consists of a league stage consisting of 3 rounds and then a final between the top 12 clubs. For the first round Windsor were drawn away in distant Witney against Witney, British Airways and Imagez . So after an epic journey across 3 counties battle commenced! Each club entered 15 images making a total of 60 on the night to be judged by Alan Copeland.
Windsor showed some early promise with the first image gaining a 20 and some further fine scoring putting the club in strong position at half time vying for the lead. However like a typical English sporting performance we lost our way slightly in the second half finishing third on the night. Highlights were the two 20's...

Five Feathered Friends by Micki Aston
Two of the highest scoring images of the evening are chosen and awarded a star. On this occasion Phil Wink's Hungry Hoverfly gained one and the other went to Witney.
Overall a mixed start for Windsor, but one that offers a lot of hope for the next round. This will be held at Woodley Photographic club on 14th December.
